My girlfriend Becky & I went out to the Beyonce Concert in Philadelphia on friday. It was awesome. I'm not a Beyonce fan, so I couldn't sing along to all her songs like the rest of the crowd, but I had a great time. I respect her so much as a perfomer. She was awesome. She had the crowd moving.
There were lots of people there. And people watching sure was funny.
Mostly women were there with their girls, or you had boyfriends with their girlfriends, or boyfriends with their boyfriends.
Ladies came with their with hooker heals, lingerie, prom dresses, flats, casual clothes, scrubs (yes someone was wearing scrubs, she knew she could've bought a change of clothes), all sorts of colors shapes and sizes, and ages.
The concert started at 7:40 (10 minutes late, no biggy). Then the lights went down & the crowd went wild, and started screaming so loud I thought I would go deaf (sign 1 that I'm getting old)
Then a group came on stage that looked just like Destiny's child, called Rich Girl. The crowd sat back down because they didn't know who they were.
Once the opening act got off stage, we waited, and waited, and waited, and waited. I started getting hungry so I got a snack. Meanwhile outside by the vendors there was a party going on, drunk people everywhere, it was crazy. I felt bad. Especially because there were lots of kids there.
I sat back down after getting my fries, and turned to Becky and said I hope Beyonce comes on stage right now, no more opening acts. Next thing you know the lights went out, the stage lights came on & she started (yes 40 minutes later).
I had my brand new shoes on (no heels, I can't do heels & good thing I didn't) and I had to stand up in them for 2 whole hours. My feet hurt (sign #2 that I'm getting old). I did not expect to have to stand for the whole show. I thought people would sit down. Oh now I was wrong. I did have to take a break and sit down a couple of times.

Some cool points of the show were:
1.She sung Alanis Morrisett's "You Oughta Know "(and so did I, LOL)
2.She sung a Jamaican song, "No no no, you don't love me and I know now" & had the Jamaican flag on stage

3.She wasn't as small as I thought she would be, she had some hips & thighs & a booty, which made me feel good about my body (isn't that crazy, since Beyonce is a little thick I can be thick too. LOL)
4.She did acrobats in the air
5.She came around and touched her fans, even held somebodies child.

MJ Tribute
She talked about how Michael Jackson was a big part of her life, and how she wanted to be just like him. She said it was hard to perform that day. She sung his song "I can't help it." Her last words as she left the stage were "I love you Michael"
All-N-All Beyonce put on a great show, with her all female band. Whether your a fan or not you will like the show, and it's a fun thing to do with a girlfriend or boyfriend, or just friend in general.
